The WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge is “Winter”.
Since the hisotric Nor’easter that hit us in October 2011, we haven’t gotten any snow. Our winter has been very mild.
Last winter, which really hit us hard in December 2010/January 2011, was really amazing. It was the most snow that Connecticut saw in 60 years. My son Massimo was 4 and the snow almost buried him alive!
The snow was so deep that a friend who works for the San Francisco news featured Massimo’s picture. You can see the short broadcast :
Have a great day!

My daughter was born in Norwalk Hospital 25 years ago, and spent 11 years of her childhood growing up in Redding, CT. Whereabouts are you? The photo of your son brings back a lot of memories…some wonderful…some not so much, like digging the driveway out from under several feet of snow…and driving my daughter to dance classes in Wilton on icy roads. Have you lived in CT long?
hugs for sharing…and reminding me of my daughter’s hometown…hugmamma. 🙂
Hi! We are in New Haven. My husband has a restaurant here.
I am glad the picture brought back some good memories!
Cheers,
Louise

Great photos! It’s been a weird winter. But I have this sneaking suspicion we will get buried with snow in March!
Darla, I know what you mean about the “sneaking suspicion” of being buried in the snow soon. I am crossing my fingers that it doesn’t happen.
Cheers,
Louise
