Things to Teach Boys–How to Shave

My boys are part Italian/Polish and part Filipino.  By nature Asians are not hairy people.  Italians on the other hand have a “teddy bear” cuddliness to them when their hair grows in places that do not include their head.

Massimo is 5 and Rocco is 2, but Michael is beginning to teach them how to shave early because in the near future they will be needing the razor and the shaving cream.

Michael’s earliest memory of massive hair growth was when he was 10 years old.  Massimo has 5 more years left of smooth, hairlessness.

Shaving is an early morning class that is given to the young boys living under our roof.  I highly recommend this bonding activity if you have boys who will one day become hairy.

Thank you for letting me share and have a great day!

  1. So cute! Our lessons came a little later, but whenever it happens, it’s a terrific rite of passage for every boy! Thanks for sharing this happy moment!

  2. Love your blog, Louise. Hank and I often read it at night before we go to sleep!

  3. This post made me smile.
