For my birthday celebration we had a delicious Chinese feast. In the USA, most Chinese restaurants give you a fortune cookie after your meal.
During this visit I thought my fortune cookie was so profound, it said, “Today, is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday.”
At first I thought that the statement did not make much sense, but after thinking about it for a minute I felt that it actually is so true.
Personally, I worried about today yesterday, but I realize that my worrying was a waste of my energy. Like most people, I have my ups and downs, but overall all life is pretty good. Today was great so there was no reason to worry at all.
I hope you have a wonderful day filled with good fortune!
And I’ll bet none of the things you worried about yesterday came to fruition today. Hmm. 🙂
Exactly Lisha! I will send you the fortune cookie picture via Facebook.
Cheers,
Louise
Hi Louise! Thank you for bopping by my blog, Lessons From Teachers and Twits.
Yes, I am excited about meeting Lisha in real life next weekend, and it was weird when her number came up on the random number generator. I lived in New Orleans for five years, but it is the first time I’ll be back since Katrina. So I am reading your fortune cookie and trying to take it in. I’m nervous about the trip. So many of my old friends are gone. My old house is gone. I’m worried it will make me all anxious. But I’m not going to worry about it because — like you said — I have a pretty good thing on the day to day and I am going to meet The Lucky Mom…
So.
What’s to worry?
Nice to meet you.
I hope you’ll stop by again! 😉
Renee, you are going to have such a great time in New Orleans. Don’t worry, don’t be anxious (I know, easier said then done).
I will defnitely stop in again.
Cheers,
Louise
You know, that is so true! What a nice fortune to receive, and I thank you for passing on the well wishes. 🙂
Melissa, thanks for visiting! It is unusual to get a fortune cookie that really makes sense so this was awesome.
Cheers,
