Earlier in the week we had blizzard like weather. Snow was everywhere!
When you have young kids it is wise to think of many activities during bad weather or you will have a mutiny in your household.
When the snow finally settled Michael brought Massimo out to play in the snow.
Rocco was a little under the weather so we just enjoyed each other’s company in our warm home.
Later in the day we decided to make semi-homemade chocolate covered strawberries. We were inspired by a shop that sells them for a $1.25/chocolate covered strawberry. With that price tag you will have to spend a lot of money to truly indulge yourself.
Snowy weather is the perfect time to just relax and pig out. We bought an easy melt chocolate for $3.29, and the freshest strawberries for $2.50/lb.
After microwaving the chocolate you simply dip your fruit and let it rest for a few minutes so that the chocolate hardens into a delicious shell.
I highly recommend making your own chocolate covered fruit because it will keep your kids entertained and afterwards you will have as many chocolate covered fruits that you can eat.
The end result are scrumptious and craveable.
Buon Appetito, Sarap ng Buhay! (Good meal, life is delicious!)
Have a great day!

I dip strawberries in Nutella. This looks much fun and I shall try this 🙂
Great minds think alike! I just made my son a Nutella sandwich for breakfast. I have to try Nutella with strawberries too.
